The inner structures of the piece consist of a complex network of technically calculated shapes. The outcome of the final piece is dependent on this inner structure as it aids as a guide steering Floris to intuitively reveal the piece as he meticulously cuts away at the large mass of clay. Through the physical act of the cutting away a process of discovery takes place and step by step the piece gets its final form, unveiling the shape within the structure.
