Design Miami 2025

At Design Miami in December 2025, Studio Floris Wubben presented new work with The Future Perfect. The new works that were presented emerge from a process-driven approach, where development and making are integral to the final outcome. By combining advanced production techniques with hand-finished details, each piece reflects a balance between precision and expression.

The Reed Coffee Table and the Vapor Mirror were presented in one location. This presentation was centering on experimentation, material exploration, and the interplay between design and art. It brings together a selection of recent pieces in which the boundaries between craft, design, and conceptual practice are explored.

The Reed Coffee Table weaves interlacing ceramic elements into a single, sculptural whole. An exploration of rhythm, structure, and the quiet poetry of clay.

Within the gallery of The Future Perfect, the new Crimp Coffee Table and The Planter were presented. The Crimp Table reveals the expressive potential of extrusion, with ceramic forms that are pinched and folded, capturing the gesture of making within the surface.

Each Crimp Table carries the trace of both hand and process, where deliberate pressure transforms the extruded material into a rhythm of soft, sculptural folds.

The Crimp Coffee Table

In the garden of the gallery our new Planter made from mixed clay was presented in it's beautiful green surroundings.

While embracing innovation, the work remains rooted in an ongoing dialogue between machine and hand. New methods allow for greater freedom in form and structure, while manual interventions introduce nuance, tactility, and a distinctly human touch. The result is a series of objects that merge experimentation with refinement, evolving from earlier ideas while opening up new directions within contemporary design.
